My client is seeking a Highway Engineer in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. The role involves managing highway design projects, preparing construction plans, right-of-way plans, specifications, and project estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager with engineering projects, ensuring quality and mentoring junior staff.
- Oversee preparation of scopes, budgets, schedules, and staffing for projects.
- Design highway geometry, perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, and manage stormwater design using CAD (MicroStation, OpenRoads).
- Ensure deliverables meet technical standards, client requirements, and specifications.
- Potential to serve as a Task Manager for smaller projects.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of Civil Engineering experience.
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering.
- P.E. License, with reciprocity in multiple states.
Skills:
- Strong technical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to mentor, collaborate, and manage project details.
- Experience in managing project budgets, schedules, and proposals.
